World Cup 2010 qualifying: Mexico vs. USA 2-1

Only three minutes spent in the game were enough for Miguel Sabah and he has scored goal for Mexico victory. So Mexico earned three important points in the qualification for World Cup 2010.

This match was played in Mexico City in front of 90 thousand fans. The first goal has scored Charlie Davies in the 9th minute and the U.S. lead with 1-0. The result, after ten minutes equalized Israel Castro, and winning result is achieved in the 81st minute with Sabah’s goal.

With this result Mexico has kept almost perfect ratio against the USA. This was the 24th match in whom Mexico has hosted the U.S., Mexicans have won in 23 games, and one time result was draw.

In other CONCACAF's matches (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) Honduras won leading Costa Rica with result 4-0, and Trinidad and Tobago with Glen’s goal in the seventh minute have won El Salvador (1-0).

The first three teams from the fourth round of CONCACAF qualifications will automatically be qualified for the World Cup 2010. The fourth team from this qualifying group will play against the fifth team from South American qualification.
