Capello: Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo are best players in the World

English coach Fabio Capello believes that Manchester United striker who will play for England on FIFA 2010 World Cup, Wayne Rooney, is as quality player like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Capello believes that these three players are best players in the world. Most relevant opinions and surveys agrees that Messi and Ronaldo are the best, but in his opinion in the same category goes Rooney, who played brilliantly this season and has already scored 28 goals in all competitions.

"Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo are young players and every team in the world would them to play in the team. Wayne is excellent, and has a talent and passion for the game. Ferguson has taught him such a lot. I’ve only had to refine him. After Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from Manchester United, Rooney has taken greater responsibility in the attack and realization and he is now more involved in the game in the opposing penalty area", said Capello.

All three players will perform at the World Cup 2010, each for his team.

ROONEY IS NOT EVEN COMPAREABLE WIV TOP 5 BEST PLAYERS. THIS WORLD CUP EXPOSED HIM AS A FLOP..... MESSI IS IN ANOTHER WORLD RONALDO TOO. DAVID VILLA far better as well............England don't have world class players...Just watch World Cup Higlights...

Messi is by FAR the best in the world.........just watch barca v arsenal.... I hope the comparsion of Rooney with Messi ends now, because it is seriously ridiculous... Rooney is to be compared with the likes of Drogba, Eto etc...and even then I'm not to sure he's as good to be honest.....

Rooney is a Ian rush type of player with more ability. Was Ian rush better than Mardaona and pele? Comparing Rooney to Messi and C. Ronaldo is pathetic. Rooney is the best uk player, but that is where it starts and ends. English people need to be realistic for once.

Messi is maybe stronger in the midfield, but Rooney is better shooter, better striker. He is more opportunistic, and Messi is better is tricks. I think Rooney is a striker, and Messi should be compared to C. Ronaldo, even if they both score lot of goals, they are rather midfielders.
