World Cup 2010 warming up: U.S. vs. Honduras friendly

The first friendly match of the United States this year has been announced as part of preparations for the 2010 World Cup. It will be a match between USA and Honduras that will be played on 23rd January at Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

These two teams have already met in the qualifications for the 2010 World Cup, and both teams have qualified for the World Cup. U.S. team is drawn into group C, while Honduran team is in group H, so Honduras and U.S. will not meet in group phase of World Cup.

Bob Bradley, head coach of U.S national team commented on this match: "We know the quality of the team of Honduras very well, and I think this match will be an excellent beginning of the year, and will help us in preparations for World Cup 2010".
