Italian friendly matches against the Netherlands and Sweden

While eight European teams play additional 2010 World Cup qualifying matches, and four of them will confirm World Cup 2010, Italy, which has already qualified, will play friendly matches.

The first of them will play on 14th October in Pescara. The opponent in this match will be the Netherlands, which also qualified for Soccer World Cup 2010.

This match certainly will be interesting because will play two strong teams. Mention that the Netherlands has not lost a single match in the qualifiers for the World Cup.

The second match will be played 4 days later on Manuzzi Stadium in Cesena on 18th of November, when Sweden came to Italy.

Italy will use this match as a small part of the preparations for the World Cup next year in South Africa, where they will try to defend the Champion title, while Sweden did not qualify for the same competition, and will try only to be quality sparring partner for Italy.
