Ukraine won England with 1-0 result

In the 8th match of European World Cup 2010 qualifying, Ukraine has won the England with result 1:0.

Right at the beginning of the game, in the 13th minute, English goalkeeper had to leave the game because he made a foul and got a red card. Fortunately for the English, Shevchenko missed a penalty shot, so the result remained at 0-0.

However, in the 33rd minute, after a mistake of England defense, Nazarenko scored the goal, and Ukraine lead England with 1-0 result.

Although the England team was better than Ukraine during whole match, result remained the same, 1-0 to the end of the match.

This defeat is first for England in this World Cup qualifier. Until now, English team has 100% success, 7 wins from 7 matches played.

On the other hand, Ukraine with this result has secured additional qualifications, and still has the opportunity to go to 2010 World Cup.

Also, this result placed Croatia on the third place in qualifying table, so Croatia first time in history would not play at World Cup.
