David James: Croats will be our great fans this weekend

David James - Portsmouth and England team goalkeeper, commented on Saturday’s match against Ukraine, and he also mentioned Croatia in few words.

English national team, which qualified for the World Cup 2010, on Saturday will play against Ukraine in Minsk. This is important match for the Croatian national team, as in the case of a home win, Croatia will have only a minimal and totally unrealistic chance to qualify in South Africa.

James knows it, and says:

I think the Croats during the weekend will be our great fans. I received several messages from Niko Kranjcar and the boys. I do not think that Ukrainians will give us anything to help, but we go there to play without thinking about how to make favor to anyone.

Before the last match (against Kazakhstan) in Group 6 of European World Cup qualifying Croatia is the second on group table with 17 points. Ukraine holds the third place with two points less, but also the match less than Croats. Their next match is this one against England, which has already reserve a ticket to South Africa (eight wins from eight games), and Ukraine last match is in Andorra, which was defeated in all nine matches.
